No they arent. Nose tork is Crystallised Ammonium Salts. NH4CL.

You can use the chemical based ammonias sold in hardwares, but you need to dilute the solution with distilled water (5-10/95-90) then soak some cotton balls and put them in a small bottle. Some gym's in the states do it like this, but I think it's easier not to fuck around and buy some pre made.

Which, correct me if I'm wrong produces NH3 gas upon contact with gaseous water in the atmosphere?

As NH4 cannot exist by itself.
