Ed Coan's record falls

Who would that be big fella

Kaz, Anderson, Coan, Kuc, Henry, Sigmmarson, Pud, Mishka, Hatfield, Miller, Mehndelson, Williams, Columbo, Kennely, Konstantinov, Bolton, Shaw.

I just watched WSM, Brian Shaw is 204cm and 200kg, he made a mess of the field

The guy has an incredible deadlift, his bench is less than ordinary, a good squat.

Remember his lifts are equipped, Coan NEVER deadlifted equipped as a junior as there were no suits.

He has perfect levers for his dead, which kill his bench, obviously.

Like Steve stated, I dont think his lifts are WR due to where they were performed.

A great deadlifter nonetheless, I hope he goes on with it

To give you an idea how good Coan was, as a Junior, in 1984, he did this

1984 IPF World Champion in the 82.5 kg class at Dallas, TX with 327.5 kg squat, 200 kg bench, 347.5 kg deadlift and a 875 kg total

Thats 125kg more than this boy did.

Lets not get too carried away. He may become one of the greatest deadlifters ever, we'll have to wait and see.

Who would that be big fella

Men i have known thought contract work which involves all sorts of hard labor, I have seen some impressive feats of strength from a couple of the strongest men i have seen, One fella was about 6.5" massive bone structure huge hands but had fuck all mass, Looked lanky, Had massive tendons sticky out and worked hard his whole life.
If you seen this guy pick up a 44 gallon drum full of water like it was nothing you would understand.

I'm with you. The skinny dude has a freak deadlift, but as a powerlifter he doesn't really stack up against Coan at all. Coan's lifts were basically raw.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't an official world record either, so I believe Coan's record stands.

It was done at some British Championship, so I thought you could break WR at National Events, or has IPF already changed that rule, as I thought they were going to.

Either way, this kid could end up pulling some incredible weights in International competition
