Creating the worst condition for training…on purpose!

Fadi,

As they say friends "Easier to make an excuse or you can surpass the challenge and get to the destination".

Thanks.

Devante.

Hi Devante.
You got that right, far too many of us fall at the first hurdle. Why?because its easy to to tell ourselves "well I tried", or we just don't want our "goal" badly enough.
It's very easy to fail, put in a token effort and with a excuse, you may even feel good about failing!!!

Theres a saying...... "You are where you are in life, because thats where you want to be. Or don't want to not be there badly enough".

One of my favourites is.... "Plan for the worst, hope for the best".

A quote by Jim Rohn I've been using on myself lately when my life has been real tough is:

"Don't wish things were easier, wish you were better."

After repeating this comment to myself, I feel I can step up a level and get more done in less time.
It's all in the attitude.
A positive attitude can turn your life around in an instant.

Mike and David; you've got some very powerful and positive sayings there, thank you.

Fadi.

Fadi, David, Mike & Co..

I read the article and YES that's exactly what it's about! As one of
my mentors used to say "Superstars are born in the gym" Eg: at training
for whatever you are trying to achieve! Not at the podium.

What most people seem to forget is the years of training that goes
into becoming part of the top 10%. Most of our society looks at the
"heroes" and think Oh how lucky s/he is. They were born that way..
Yeah right! <- Maybe 1 in a Million is born that way. But yet the guy/gal
with"heart" & "mind" will win 99.999% of the time!

Everything in Life is "MENTAL"... And actually life/gym/education/
relationships to me is like learning to surf. The first 20mins you barley
get out 3 feet past the break cause you get 'pounded' and dumped on the
shore! Then if you keep at it eventually you get past the break.. BUT all
new challenges come up like trying to paddle!! And it just keeps going on
until you stand on the board for 1sec...(What a rush:D!!)

But guess what? Somedays you get caught in the lip and get "SLAMMED" on
the beach! Nearly drown and get washed up on the beach. So you sit on
the beach nurse your wounds 'mental & physical' and then get right back in
the water..

And that's how it all goes.

The quickest way to learn anything new is guess what?

1. Find someone who's used to be what you are now.
2. They've achieved the results that you want for yourself & are at that level
consistently for at least a couple of years.
3. Follow their path to achieve the same results.
4. Have 'dogged' determination to keep at your goal. (How long you ask? As
long as it takes..)
5. Keep track of progress and change the method or technique if needed.
6. Finally it "ALL COMES DOWN TO YOU"!!!

7. Use it or Loose it".

I'm sure everyone knew that! If not the above steps are called "Mentoring".

OMG I got carried away! I tend to do that some days!

Will stop now.

Devante.

P.S. That's why I tracked this forum down to obsorbe all the wisdom from
all you who have walked the path before me. & I graciously thank all of you
for sharing that knowledge with all of us!!;)
