Bloody Sore

I have a couple of.... I think theyre meant to be bike hooks or something.... hanging from the ceiling of the shed where I work out. I do chin-ups on those as a part of my bicep workout. I hold them in a hammer position with my wrists facing each other. Theyre about shoulder width apart. I used to have a home made chin up bar, but it broke off one day during a chin-up, so I pulled it down with full force and I knocked myself out..... yeah... OUCH!

I feel the chin-ups under my arms (side delts?) as well as my biceps. Do I have to have to grip with wrists facing away from me and pull bar behind my neck to work my back?

What IS a dead lift? I thought it was basically lifting the weight off the ground using my lower back.

What is a dumbell pull over? Bent over rows feel kinda weird to me. Im not sure I was doing them correctly so I stopped in case I did damage.

Is there a chart somewhere to show all the exercises? There are some I do that I dont know the name of. :)
