Still training, weighing in a bit lighter these days, 83.55kg. No plans to compete any time soon(will compete in 2013), although Tim Germanchis wants me to compete with him at the raw nats next year, probably not haha. How is everyone? Deadlifts 200kg x 10 - YouTube KFyv06nzJUw -Simon.

    The off season

I compete 3 times a year, relatively evenly spaced out, so there isn't much of an off season. I'm doing raw 6's most weeks though, did 20 rep squats on the weekend though blehhhhh....

Critiques for my low bar squat, please

By elbows down and under the bar, I just mean you should be pushing your elbows as far forward as you can. This does a couple of things, it helps with keeping the chest up, keeps the back tight, and it lowers the bar position, all which make you squat more. When you do this properly, at first...

Critiques for my low bar squat, please

I'd say your squatting a few inches high. Also you're not fully locked out at the top, soft knees, etc... Straighten the knees, hips, stand tall at the top. I'd recommend elbows forward, down, and under the bar too. Not too bad, just get a bit deeper.

    High bar squats?

I understand what you mean Fadi, I had pretty good form the day I first walked into a powerlifting club, after only squatting at home by myself. Yet I don't think everybody is as lucky, I mean alot of people "naturally" squat with some pretty horrid form, and have to work very hard to try and...

    CAPO National titles

Strong back, good grip, makes sense to me that he'd have a good rack pull.

    Training intensity

Talk as much shit as possible, sit around alot, rest heaps, train very little. Take 1 hour or more to do 3 work sets of squats. Focus during each set, and 5 secs beforehand, and relax and talk shit in between - Actually it's more like relax and talk shit, and every now and again focus and do a...
