I find the same, they loaded up comparitively massive weights and barely drop where I get as low as possible with my measly weights.

Don't know if i have told this story. I was squatting 140 for 5 with a student on work experience. Another guy comes in at the end and says can i use the rack don't worry about the weights ill add a little on. Puts ten more on. Student looks at me and says can he really squat that. I give the guy a chance and tell him to wait and see.

We got 3in squats. Student learns valuable lesson at a semi-commercial gym.

Seems like the perfect teaching point and outcome, and even better you didnt really have to do a thing except to watch and learn....

you know they got no chance when they just walk in and load up 150 no warm ups nothing
 
Ok this was from last night.

Maximum plates loaded up on leg press (16), would be say 320kg. Guy is tiny, smaller than me...

Does "leg presses", which consist of locking knees to take the weight, then unlocking them and bringing the weight down max 5cm, before pushing back up and locking knees again. All while making a big fuss.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a 5cm leg press? Other than working out his ego, this can only be bad for the knees?
 
saw some kid squirming and screaming as a 130kg guy dug his elbow into the kids quads and hamstrings...












oh wait, i must of saw myself as my life flashed before my eyes...
 
I think hes just saying he saw him doing them. Not he was doing a bad job of it. :p
yeah i know, but what went through my mind was that he was saying "omg hes so bad ass doing udls off blocks" know what im saying? lol was just being a smart ass :D:p
 
Catherine who started keto told me she was eating sweet potato like a lot of it daily.

I asked her why?
She said sweet potatos had no carbs right?

The lead singer of a famous Aussie band trained at my gym. Short dude, tough stickers from asshole to earlobe... well, he was the Monica seles of the gym, even doing 10kg dumbell curls, he'd be loudly grunting away. When he put the weights down, he'd let out huge sigh.

Always use to crack me up.
