PA raw Nationals - Melbourne

Done! Although I'm ashamed that my squat has gone backwards :p At least I have a 2 in front of one of my lifts now though!

Oh I didn't notice that. Like you said, you've learnt a lot (as did I!). Look forwards.

I was so nervous before my first squat that I couldn't remember how to put my right hand wrist strap on!!!

Well done Dancer, you improved, just keep improving

Great work Dimi, good on her, thats a great result

Johnathon has cut from 82kg to 74.5kg, took around 3 weeks. He did 3 hours in the Sauna this morning.

I hope it hasnt affected his lifting too much, although he was 77kg by the time he left the weigh in. He should be 80kg at least in the morning.

He totalled 450kg at ProRawOne in the 80kg class, lets see if he has improved as much as you.

I think he shouldve lifted in the 82.5kg class, but he needs 500kg to qualify for Raw Nats @ 75kg, tough ask for a rookie

Here's a titanic battle between Scott Hill and Matt Middleton in the 93kg class. Matt won in the end with a 690kg total, and Scott got 682.5kg (corrected, sorry Scott!).

Unfortunately I don't have their deadlifts on video. I only remember seeing Matt make a 265kg opener, then fail to lock out 280kg on the next two attempts.

Scotty Hill here. Yer it was a fun battle yesterday with Matt!!! Cant wait to go at it again another time.

The deadlifts went sa follows

Scott open 255 sumo style 3 whites
Matt open 265 conv style 3 whites
Scott 265 sumo grip fail (argg)
Matt 280 got it up but did not lock out knees 2 reds
Scott 265 conv (first tiem in 2 years - thought what the hell) EASY!! 3 whites no grip issues (back to conventional and over 600lb boooyaaa)
Matt 280 got to mid thigh but failed, awesoem attempt!!

Final tally -

Matt 255/170/265 = 690 1st
Scott 247.5/170/265 = 682.5 2nd

was a funny day, bench usually my strenth and was confident of going 180+ kg but was a poor day for me, Matt usually kills deads and he had a poor day there, so you can never really tell how it will pan out on the day!

Was great to see you lift yesterday, squats looked awesome very deep. Good to have you on the forums.

That's not at Raw National, that's at Melb Open today, which is an equipped comp. SP lifts mostly raw there though, and he squatted that with just wraps.

You got deep throated by a girl? how does that work?

lol I made out with a girl who had a throat infection. She almost recovered by then though so I didn't notice it.
