good read. I applaud crossfit gyms.. the members there will one day smarten up (or get severely injured) and come across to a proper strength gym anywayz
From a buisness sense. The more douche gyms there are out there such as crossfit/commercial gyms the better it is for say a PTC.
It makes it so much easier to show people how long they have had the wool caste over their eyes and all your just doing is putting them on linear progression to get results.
Which was all know is better than WOD's
it will always be Strength then followed by conditioning. Not a mixture of the 2 together at PTC.

So what would you do differently Trent?
Personally:
1) They care about the 10 components of fitness (cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, coordination, balance, accuracy) equally. They're all important for wellbeing, but a big premium / priority should be on strength. Not only for powerlifters, for any sport or physical occupation (military, police, etc).
2) Have a franchise model instead of an affiliate model. To become an affiliate you have to write an essay (an interview would be better, but baseed on there being 3000 of them this is a bit tricky). Under an affiliate model, they can do whatever they like - there's no rules whatsover governing where/how they run their gym, what they do in it etc. Under a franchise model, presumably this would be different.
