Xenical

Anybody tried this?

I have lost 63kgs since August last year, 45 in the first 12 weeks.

Since about March, things have been slow going.

Still eating at a deficit, doing cardio, lifting 4-5 days a week and sleeping 7 hours on average per day.

I would love to be -80 kgs down by August this year.

Any suggestions? or anybody tried this?

Thanks in advance.

Dietary fat is not the problem.

When was the last time you took a week or two off your diet and ate over your maintenance in calories?

I haven't really. Not that I recall.

Been strict since about August last year.

My cheat meal is usually one of the lower calorie Subway meals too which fits into my daily calories for that particular day.

I think the issue is that if you have lost 45 kgs in 12 weeks, chances are you have lost a heap of muscle.

Muscle loss = slower metabolism and hence lower maintenance calories required. This means you will need to consume even less less calories to lose weight. It is one of the reasons why losing weight too quickly is not a good thing

I thought I read somewhere that Xenical not only blocks fat absorption but may block vital nutrients.

You're correct Shrek, not that it blocks nutrients but some nutrients are fat soluble and will be eliminated with the fat.

To the OP, simply don't take it. I am not sure what diet or training program you are on at the moment. But I would personally have a few days to a week of overfeeding with good nutritious food. Don't go to shit town with junk food, just eat a lot of whole foods and over ur maintenance. Increase leptin levels. Then start cutting calories slowly but also training the main movements and increasing the weight used.

I didn't really lose much if any muscle, thankfully.

I lost heaps of inches around the waist and my chest, arms, calves, measurements were staying the same or going up.

I had heaps of fat and water to lose at 165 kilograms and 5 foot 10.

Had massive cankles and lost them in week 1, could not wear shoes for over a year.

Thanks mate.

I have hardly any cheat meals and it's usually something healthy anyway if it is.

I am sticking to basic lifts and free weights mainly, my Incline Bench is up from 60 kgs for 10 reps to 100 kgs for 10 reps now, since Nov/Dec last year and with the big weight loss/cut.
