weight lifted ?
exercise technique
Nutrition?
Genetics?
Rest and Recovery?

Saw a guy on the street the other day with massive hard calves, guessing 24 inches.
Probably the biggest I've ever seen in person.
He looked like a builder/tradesman, the rest of his body suggests he does not lift weights or follow a strict diet.
No amount of rest, nutrition, heavy weights, etc, is going to get 99.9% of the population the calves this guy had.
it kinda depends on your goals really. you can rely on nutrition to lose weight or weights lifted to build muscle or if your lucky genetics then you can do fuck all and still look ace
