She was NOT a great fighter. She was great for promoting the Sport to the Female market coz she was the first big name Female.

She was earning millions while her opponents were being paid just a few thousand dollars. Her opponents were part-timers having to work normal jobs while Rousey trained full time.

It was all UFC hype to make her image so huge to attract the big Female market, and it worked - you included. The UFC knows how to increase their viewer Market.



Royce Gracie was also fighting a lot of Part-timers until he met Ken Shamrock and a few others.

But his opponents weren't versed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well. I remember when he first came on the scene, everyone started wanting to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, until they realised it was an inferior Martial Art for the Street - me included.

Nope. Not part timers. They were all pro fighters Ronda fought. Her run will go down in the history of women's MMA. She was a great and the game has past her now. With all her title defenses and the way she won their is no argument to say she will not go down as one of the greats. Bagging Ronda is seen as the cool thing to do.

Ronda partly cops hate because people don't like her personality, that's fine but plenty of worse fighters don't cop the hate she does. Like I said it also makes people feel better about their shit lives where they have achieved nothing compared to Ronda.

Nope, the reason Ronda is now losing fans is because she was vastly over paid relative to the quality of her fighting skills. She was paid so much as part of the UFC's Marketing strategy to inflate her image to encourage the huge Female Market. She was fighting Part timers. Now it's a more level playing field she can't dominate.

today I went and had another look at some of the Fighter salaries. Most of Rousey's opponents (the part timers no one ever heard of) were earning like 15K for the Fight while Rousey was earning Hundreds of thousands plus undisclosed PPVs.

Baz himself has previously admitted that Rousey is worth a fortune, yet he now denies that there was this massive salary gap between Rousey and her part time opponents.

Rousey earning hundreds of thousands per fight, plus undisclosed PPV, plus a massive UFC contract, plus all the on the side payments for photo shoots and interviews she got due to the UFC promoting her as the greatest fighter since Joe Louis.

All this allowed her to have the best training and facilities money can buy, while her opponents had to hold down ordinary jobs and train in less than ideal conditions.

I've heard whispers that Floyd had blown though a heap of the cash he has made so more will help him.

Connor wants it because worst case he will still make more in this one fight than the rest of his career in the UFC combined.

Mcgregor likely won't get KOed in round one. Floyd isn't a knock out artist and has fucked hands. The very likely outcome is Floyd just mesmerizes him and taps away at a decision win. If it's a KO it's going to be Conor.
