possibly your doing too many lifts &/or sets if your rests are short (which is also a relative term)
If you were doing 9 sets of squats & resting 3-4 minutes...after doing cleans, push presses & rows, with the same number of sets/reps...then you may be doing too much
So Nick, you're not a believer in that traditional stuff of being basically rooted after 30-60 minutes? Hormones and all that? Or would you say that applies to people with an ordinary rest and diet, but with good rest/diet you can do more?
I"m like Nick. My (well planned) training sessions usually go for from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Working with usually 4-5 lifts. I find that if i have a high GI drink (for example a slightly diluted powerade) towards the half way mark, i remain productive & able to keep going forward.
Like Nick, I'm never sick. Like, never. I eat great. I sleep like a log. Your body doesn't know time, it just knows when you've stopped the stimulation.
