Totalstrength search for average joe strength (or whatever it is). Seriously wacky stuff. Have fun. You should send him an email asking for help with your lifting. You are obviously going to low on your bench press and missing out on pushing a lot more weight.
Generations ago after a day's work, some rest was needed. Now after a day's work, exercise is needed, except for blue collar workers. General statement but an interesting thought.
Upon reflection, the aspect of training three days a week on non-consecutive days, sticking to the basics, following programs that now are termed "hard-gainer" or "abbreviated" were the deal because folks actually were busting their hump at a job and they had a life outside the gym to boot.
Truth be told, the majority of folks go to the gym 5-6 days a week to do some sort of fruity-ass cardio and they sure as hell aren't lifting heavy, getting stronger or getting more muscular. Posted via Mobile Device
Frankston is one of the two stand alone clubs, so they do it harder. The other clubs have as many as 10 AFL players drop down when not making the senior team, so they have a lot of experience.
Clubs like Frankston are made up of 18-23 year olds and retired AFL players.
Sorry for the history lesson and for boring those that already new this, I just wanted to make sure that everyone understood at what level these guys are.
Frankston used to play in the Second Division of the VFA, before the name was changed to VFL, until they won the Second Division Flag against Camberwell in 1978, a game I fondly remember.
The VFL (VFA) has been one division since 1998. Frankston has never won the flag in the First Division, losing Grand Finals in 1984, 1996, 1997.
There highest finish in recent years has been 7th in 2005

There was a big write up in the local rag about this - parents getting upset when their son has played well for the team all year, only to be told they won't be playing in the grand final due to North Melbourne players coming across.
Just had a boy who played for the Northern Bullants last season call me. He signed with Frankston last night, he is 19, just missed a spot on the Blues list this year.
He knows he still has a chance, he starts at PTC tomorrow.
