Too many teams in Sydney not big enough supporter bases to fill stadiums that size

Na it's just people in Sydney don't go to watch sport, not like Melbourne anyway. Probably because Melbourne is such a shit hole with not much else decent to do.

NRL crowds are pretty poor in general. Looking at the figures most games are 10-15000. With a lot below 10,000. Pretty laughable for a national game.

Matt Toomua looking fit!

i have no real desire to go to games when can sit and watch it at home in HD with great commentary. beats sitting in some shit seat getting cold and not being able to see the players

talk about crowd atmosphere, now watching replay of united v Liverpool at old trafford. another 70,000 crowd.
Its crazy the crowds the premier League get.
Even college level sports in the US generate much larger crowds than a sydney footy game.
There are just to many sydney based teams. Across all games in one weekend league crowd attendance is probably quite good, but when you have it spread across 4 or 5 games....

yes, even England's second tier soccer comp is one of most watched soccer leagues in world. Germany has biggest average of 41,000, but they have one or two major teams per city.

London alone has many clubs.

Michigan college hasn't had a crowd under 100,000 for 30 years. Lol it's bloody amazing.
