Something that's bugged me for a few years and I got a dose of it yesterday, hoping for some advice on treatment/preventative methods.
Its some sort of trap injury.
Symptoms:
Head feels "heavy", movement restricted up/down and side to side with tightness and pain.
Hurts more at the upper end of the traps, no restriction in shoulder/arm movement.
Activity at time of injury:
Pulling a stupid starter motor out of a late model falcon, basically laying on the ground and stretching arms into stupid positions, holding head in dumb spot trying to see what i was doing.
It seems to be a recurrent thing whenever I stretch myself into ridiculous positions, almost always caused by fixing shitheap cars or straining to reach something.
Obviously, the answer is to buy better cars and use a ladder but if you could give me some idea as to why it happens, what can be done to prevent it happening and some treatments (besides lots of complaining and some non prescribed painkillers) I'd be rather appreciative.
Best Regards,
Feeling like Frankenstein's monster.
