I dot think he's taking into an account oblique muscle fibers for example.

What if indeed, gravity actually influences the direction myofibrils grow?
Would you change your training/recovery methods to take advantage of this.
If so, in what ways?
 
^ Wouldn't it be better to not butter your toast at all, then it can't land 'butter side down'. Just sayin' :].
 
alternatively you can strap a cat to the other side of the toast as they always land on their feet.
