This Saturday (7/1/12) Chris will be holding the first technique workshop for the new year at PTC Sydney.
Time: 11am
... Address: Unit 2 41-43 Day St North, Silverwater
Lift: Overhead press / power cleans
Price: PTC members free, non members $10.
The idea for these workshops is to provide a session to work on a different lift each week. If you want your form checked out or simply want to learn the lift from scratch, come on down - everyone is welcome. If you have a friend who is interested in getting started on their lifting bring em along!
One of my goals for this year is to finally learn correct lifting form, especially the big three, bench, dead lift and squat, as I believe some of my wear and tear is due to incorrect form, apart from being old and over weight!!
Enjoyed the day, and learned plenty, mainly how crap my snatches are
Have bought a foam roller now, to help me address my back mobility issues identified at the workshop, expect to see me there next week, was good to meet
My partner Deb is a physio and will be present during these workshops as long as there is sufficient interest. All of the guys there today hit her up for advice so it seems likely to become a permanent part of the sessions. Can also catch her when we train at PTC but atm that is a bit sporadic, should become more regular over the coming weeks as she is no longer on holidays and we'll be moving from our current house.
