Having your arms locked and not bent during a deadlift is pretty common knowledge as far as technique goes, I'm surprised this even needs discussion if you have any experience at all.
No. But grip has never been a problem in terms of failing, not that I am moving huge weight though. Very strong pull off the floor seem to lose it around knee height, not to sure what I should be doing as assistance to work on that. Figure I just need to pull more and heavier.
I used to double overhand up until I had to mix and I would use the same one when going for a max. Once I started Oly lifting the coach wasnt a fan so I was taught to use hook grip instead and have never looked back.
