So I bench 130kg touch and go a month or so ago, then spend some time away from 80% plus of my 1rm (but still going hard on 5rms)......... And after doing 112.5x3 I would put my max 1rm at 125kg.
I guess if you spend time after you 'peak' and work up to a 1rm over some weeks, the time after has a quick strength drop off??
I feel like trying west side sometime, I really hate losing strength. Hope it's all neuromuscular or whatever.
I think its more to do with just how strong you get when you start to peak, working up with those triples and doubles....
If you don't keep it up the drop off gets ya!
When I get 140 on bench I think I'll try and repeat it every week or so for a little while.
'Trying to get percentage figures on how much steroids give you is a joke'.
Really, says you.
I will do what i like, just as top athletes tell me how much they gain and sites publish such material. Tell them they are a joke.
It is a free world, and i will do and say what i like, at least until i am banned.
whatever.
Then maybe all your advice on other matters is a waste of time, what people eat may also depend on genetics ect.
I mean how silly is that. Study after study tries to quantify improvment of nutrition gained by drugs, and you know better. It is all a waste of time.
You don't know who is doing what, so don't even worry about it. Trying to get percentage figures on how much steroids give you is a joke.
The steroids argument is just one for people to make excuses why everyone else is stronger than them or training harder than them.
Next we will have Von in here telling us how anyone who has used roids or been in a 10km radius of anyone who used roids should expect to be sued by him and have the Feds knock down their doors.
If you dont respect that, coming from others or trust me that i am being honest, then go ahead and try and denigrate me. I could not give a fuck.
When did I say I would take legal action against anyone who has proximity to illegal performance enhancing drugs? That would be rather diffcult to do.
I recall I mentioned I would take all necessary and available legal avenues to protect myself from mud-slingers who would seek to defame me. I merely stated my strong stance against PED abuse and misuse and what we can do to protect the sport of powerlifting, and as could be expected I was met with hostility and personal attack from certain stakeholders including yourself.
My comments about litigation were also in the context of how an organization and its lifters ought to consider protecting themselves from any outsiders who seek to cause harm to their reputation. A policy shield and testing regime helps.
I also made some fairly accurate predictions about the shit storm that is now sweeping through sport in Australia. That was met with ridicule.
Your response was to hurl insults at me rather than addressing the issue. Now you are concocting statements that were never made. I think you need to read more widely. The weights are not expanding your intellect.
