How did you get into powerlifting?

Played basketball for 15 years, had quite an athletic build even though I was skinny at 6"3 and 75kg which I stayed at for a good 5 years or so. Stopped playing basketball, and started at the gym on and off and inconsistently for a couple years, no real gains, no real diet.

Beginning of this year I started training properly, using rippetoes starting strength. My lifts have been going up but they are still nothing fantastic with a 75 kg squat, 55 kg bench and a 115 kg dead. Aiming for a 150 squat 200 dead and a 120 bench. Even though I haven't been doig it long there's something very surreal about powerlifting and bettering yourself every workout. Can't wait to get bigger and get some big numbers behind me and possibly compete at one stage. Love it.
