no people are talking about evolution and cooking food...
well the humans we descended from had fire long before they created houses and farms
so yes we evolved with fire, and cooking food. fact.
doesn't sound great living in your 5 bedroom house with ducted air-con, but believe me when i say we are the same human that was living around a fire with a cave or in the treehouse.
we have not had time to evolve with shitty gluten grains which are farmed purely for profit and not because they are healthy. most our grains are genetically modified for pesticide resistance which is another concern again!
its a billion dollar industry and if anyone with any name says publicly against it, they get sued into the ground. another fact.
I think people are grasping at straws here.
I don't even know what paleo is or stands for so not sure why people, keep talking about it.
Anyway it seems that there are people here who are just arguing and trolling for the sake of it, and have yet to come up with one sensible argument.
It appears that a person would be better off eating grains and sugar when we all know it is the cause of a lot of dietary issues people have today. And somehow by not eating them I am missing out on something??
People are arguing that people who eat whole and healthy/natural foods sould live in caves and under trees?? Wtf?? We don't have to live like animals to eat healthy whole foods. Just because we are smart enough to drive cars and livein houses has not changed our body. We still need nutritious food to eat. No matter how much people want to twist and turn and divert attention by talking about cooking food and living in caves and all the other rubbish posted here the fact remains.......FACT....not fiction, not guess work, not a hunch but FACT that processed sugar does you no good and that grain are not an essential food and cause a lot of issues. There is no negatives to not eating them.
If you chose to eat them that that is your choice, same as the smoker who chooses to smoke etc etc. but don't try and make it sound like it's an essential and integral part of a balanced diet.

Farming grains is a huge industry. So what. So is farming meat, fruit, veg and any other Paleo friendly foods. Are you saying all other foods are farmed out of the goodness of peoples hearts and grains are only farmed for profit.
exactly, look what they did to our beef industry... feeding them grains instead of grass, now their body freaks out and e.coli is rampant so fed ridiculous anti-biotics just to survive, oh but they fatten up and get tasty!
think about it man, think before you type. cows are supposed to eat grass not grains.
they get fucked up, just like we get fucked up and obese eating grains. sure we survive, that doesn't mean we "healthy"
i enjoy an intelligent discussion, but ive been around the bush and studied diets for longer than this board has been in existance. im not saying everything i say is right, im just giving my personal observations.
if only 1 person reads this thread and has a positive outcome, im happy that i spent the 5 minutes to make a difference, its what i do at work and i rarely take my work home, but sometimes i see so many fatties and i just have to post in the hopes someone out there atleast listens with an open mind and researches it for themselves, and changes their life for the better.
the only thing i use grains for is brewing
keep the discussion going i say, but keep it on topic an no personal attacks, we all have difference of opinion which is environmental exposures to different upbringing and education.
the reason i refuse to become a dietitian is because im sick to death of the western backwards text books. what they teach is not always right, and they are not open for discussion.

So you are actually saying that other farmers farm out of the goodness of there heart with no intention to make a profit. Well you are a retard.
Do you really want to get into a argument about cows eating grass?
why are they not open for discussion?
because its run by a board of 55+ yr olds who make their living advising stuff
they have the responsibility for alot of the research is happening, and they will not grant any money to research into how grains are killing humans through the beef industry for a prime example.
its not my fault you don't have exposure to this irl. google won't tell you this stuff.
get a real job and get involved, then you will find out all the nitty gritty! or be in a position to ask real farmers how they live, what they do, how they have to do certain things to simply keep a roof over their head.
its no longer whats good for you, its what a commodity is worth.

trolling is trolling if you read what i said, and same with mick, your quoting the opposite.
but im havin fun, bring it
lies are lies
Hasnt wheat been genetically modified so when they harvest it they get a bigger yield? I was watching a documentary and it said the plant only grows to a certain size (cant remember the exact height) so scientists have modified it so it grows bigger, maybe this could be the reason wheat causes issues in people? Once people start playing god something has to give.
