Imo there is a difference between assistance great and supportive gear.

I'm an advocate of raw lifting and like a few on here have no interest in assistance, I don't see the point.
I have trained with both single and double ply. The double ply stuff adds another dimension of skill. I reckon in a double ply shirt I'd probably get another 20-30kg at least. Squat suits not sure- but probably more. The reffing I have seen at CAPO comps has been pretty good.
