Was discussing this with some guys at work today and I don't think there is a better test of fitness out there. You can't compare a tour cyclists to the best rock climber, it is just to different. I think they have a legit claim to the fittest on earth.
No good doing Crossfit while you are trying to specialise at something. I know the Cowboys use Crossfit for the players that come in over weight (BF), so I guess they see it as good for weight loss, they call it the metabolic conditioning squad, and they all dread it.
Froning is the best Crossfitter in world, no doubt, but the question was is there a better test of fitness out there?

I'm pretty much the same: Do more work in less time. Regardless of the task, be it a row/run/bike/swim/etc (faster time for distance or more distance in set time), Deadlifts/bench press/squats/etc (shift more load in set time or more load in single rep) etc etc..
I think those 6 words sums up fitness much better than the Oxford dictionary...
