Powerlifter one is so broad range - you have some powerlifters that are lean, mean, better conditioned than most bodybuilders/oly lifters and def the general lifter then you have some which will nearly pass out putting on their bench shirt while eating a donut....
 
I couldn't run 10km, not a chance... Not even 5km.
But I could deadlift or pull a sled longer than alot of people. I agree with the statement "if you want to get good at something, train it."
