[Boxing] Boxing Discussions

I don't watch much Boxing anymore so not aware of recent Champs. I knew Fury v Wilder 3 was on, eventually I watched a replay. Suprised at two things:

1. Deontay Wilder looks small, but actually weighed in at 238lbs. Consider Mike Tyson would fight at around 220lbs, Holyfield even less.
2. Fury actually has good defence. If he wasn't so BIG Wilder woulda won imo.

That was a terrible fight, no speed, no footwork, like two slow giraffes.

imo it will be a very long time before we see another Mike Tyson. His speed, coordination snd aggressive style will be unmatched for a long long time, if never.
 
Nah, Holyfield is still the greatest Cruiserweight of all time and he had more skills than Tyson. Tyson had greater punching Power but Tyson would fold when tested ie Bonecrusher, Tucker, Lewis, Holyfield etc. Holyfield was a greater Fighter.

Holyfield, you hit him and he'd go up two or three gears. He was an absolute Warrior. But he was a Cruiserweight. Tyson's naturally bigger size may have overwhelmed Holyfield at their peaks

 
I’ve actually been flogging YouTube watching Tyson fights, and Hollyfield was one of the greats.
Problem with Tyson at that time was kunce was on a path to self destruction, wasn’t training properly, spent more time chasing pussy than training, had women in his room the night before his fights and just lost his way.
Shame………I thought he was the most talented boxer ever. He’s found his way again and has a lot of regrets, kunce seems almost suicidal.
 
Remember the Spinks fight. Tyson had both Donald Trump and Robin Givens trying to shaft him. He said he just wanted to kill someone during that Fight.

Hall looked good against Gallen, but SBW is a longer fighter. Style does make fights and I haven't seen much of either of them.

Hall gave SBW a headbutt at the weigh ins lol
 
Rugby League Forwards are probably the toughest Athletes in the World. Look at Darcy Lussick, can't fight for shit, but is so hard and tough from hitting the Ball up and tackling.

Aussie Rules Full Forwards need to use their Bodies to jostle etc but sheer hardness and toughness you can't go past Rugby League Forwards.

Then again, SBW was more of a running Forward rather than a hard man.
 
This fight is on tonight. No not @Shrek v @Bella , but Bazza v SBW.

I'm leaning towards a win for big bad bussling Barry Hall. Haven't seen much of either of them, but Bazza 's skill against Gallen makes me think he's not bad.
