love how the judge said he couldnt of known the shots would kill the person behind the door. if you shoot at someone its pretty clear you intend to kill them!! wtf lol
Doesn't mean he didn't mean to kill her, it just wasn't planned. Will still get done for murder with intent to kill or something. Remember, reasonable doubt.
not guilty of premeditated murder (lovers quarrels quite common and ok apparently)
not guilty of shooting with intent to murder (anyone, even the intruder that he was fearful of, er - ok, what exactly was he going to do with the intruder once he had successful incapacitated them behind the door?)
their manslaughter equivalent is still on the table though
In South Africa there's no minimum sentence for that charge, so he may not spend a single night in prison. This has been the case there for the same charge many times for 1st time offenders! Crazy eh!?
