If you are competing , the best belt would of course be the one that meets the specifications in the rule book. For PA that choice seems quite limited nowadays.
I bought a cheap as shit single prong PL belt made in India and it has enough flex in it to retain some mobility but a little more support than the flimsy things the pure WL uses - they don't tend to lean forward when they squat. I think the bite of the uniform width PL belt into the pelvic area probably serves as more of a lifting cue than a meaningful support system.
gave a couple of my old twin prong belts away when I discovered that my waist and chest measurements had converged.
