Are squats necessary for a bodybuilding competitor?

I train like bodybuilders, to look as much like a bodybuilder as possible..

BUT, no fkin way would I say I'm a bodybuilder..

I say (if it comes up in conversation) that I do weights. (doggy style) and/or go to gym.

im surporized you fellas havent learned yet that reality of the matter is that if a girl can get her leg to look nice thick and developed with 25lb paltes acros a bar.. or many times on machines... lol you as bodybuild can do exact same thing,,

yes you can work with 4 plates each side of a bar and squat,,will you do it relegiously and grow better and bigger for long time ,,NO,, will you kill yourself on the way ? YES YOU WILL ,, WILL IT RESULT IN BIGGER MUSCLE WITH OUT HORMONES AND ENOUGH OF THEM ? N E V E R

bodybuild has absolitly nothing to do with strength ,, if it had something to do with strength i would be 10 times mr o and world record holder of mr o title,, strength has NOTHING to do with bodybuild,, all the pussy lifters notice how they develp nice ,, they play around and cut lean and large,, its all in the drug ,, ofcourse you need strength ....but naturals can have amazing TENDOIN STRENGTH ,, when i was natural i worked triceps with 1 dumbel over head 2 arms ...i used to do it with 140 lb dumbel ...NATURAL! 10 TIMES 3 sets... did it give me 18 19 20 inch arm incondition? HELL ****ING NO IT DIDNT,, my tendoins were super strong though and my bonesss...kind of like matt c...basicaly a joke but lift heavy,,well matt c is on hormones was is play around with them ,, i was truly natural those days,, but still all my strength did was put me in doubel digit bodyfat and ....made me lift heavy lol


strength has NOTHING to do with the final product you see today on stages

Player, you have some pretty good lifts...can I ask, did you first start to Deadlift and Squat heavy because you were initially under the misconception that they were essential for Bodybuilding or did you just do them because you enjoyed them?

when i joined the bodybuilding section was
squats, deadlift, bench press, milk.

I thought so...The Strength Section on this forum has alot of guidance from PTC coaches and strong members who compete.
This bodybuilding section needs more guidance from some actual bodybuilders, with results to back them up.

This thread is fucking ridiculous yes you can get big legs using hack squat and leg press. What you don't get from a super heavy set of leg press or hack squat is the work in the abs or upper back that you get when you squat. For anyone who doesn't want to live in the gym regardless of your goal its about efficency, squat gives best return for input.

If you get injured because you are lifting heavier then what you are capable of then you are the problem not the training system.
