Anyone had Digestive/intestinal upsets from supps?

Sorry this isn't the nicest topic, but i've had some issues lately regarding my downstairs "movements". I've been to see the doc and he's booked me into a specialist - thinks it might be some sort of bug - only thing is it only really started a month or so after i started taking supps (creatine in grape juice and WPC with light milk).

I didn't think at the time to mention it to my doc, but was wondering if anyone has experienced/heard of anything like this being caused by supps or even the fact that i'm drinking a litre of milk a day (from the shakes)?

Thanks in advance

I've had an upset stomach from Superpump 250 (infamously called Superdump) but I believe that was from the excessive amounts of caffiene. I've never experienced any problems with creatine though. I have heard before that too much milk can give you the runs so if you've gone from drinking hardly any milk to drinking over a litre a day quite quickly this could possibly cause some upset.

I've been diagnosed with a few food issues and had to do the whole food diary/elimination diet thing to find out what it is.

It's not unusual for people to develop lactose intolerance later in life. Caffiene, sugar and fruit are other common trouble makers. Fructose intolerance is pretty common as well.

Start recording your food and when you have 'upsets'. Might help the specialist see a pattern.

Thanks guys, it's been pretty consistent despite my diet fluctuating every now and then, so i don't think it's one thing in particular. Might try taking a week off from the shakes or the creatine and see what happens. Hopefully the specialist i'm seeing in a couple of weeks will know.

I try to steer clear of too much caffeine except for the odd coffee when i'm studying - that mucks me up a bit too. I've found my weights sessions more inconsistent when i have too much caffeine also.

I have stopped using Caffeine based pre workout drinks. I had a very bad experience on Controlled Labs White Flood. It gave me headaches and made me feel sick in the stomach.

when taking protein and tryin to increase your protein in your daily meals sometime people forget about there fibre intake, which happened to me, infact i dont think i have ever really had a consistent and adequate fibre intake, so now i add inulin(metamucile-fibresure) to my 3 protein shakes a day and it has really helped me.
