0ni's diet log

Generally speaking Keto is a lot easier up around 70grams... And easier again up around 100grams...

Dependant on the person though and whether they can maintain ketosis this high up...

i keep to 20-30g carbs but have found that i'll stay in ketosis on 50-60g once ive been in ketosis for a awhile

This^^^

30grams for the first week or two... It as long as you can handle it...

Then should be able to cruise at 60 to 70 grams and generally feel a lot better... Then again some can handle under 30grams for months on end...

Exact opposite actually...

Dan Duchaine, Neanderthin, Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance, Kiefer, Jamie Lewis etc all say different bro

My own experience as well, the longer I stay in keto the less carbs I need to show up as a 3 on the keto sticks

Was referring to how one feels... And not whether lower carbs was better...

Keto affects everyone differently... If Keto flu starts to knock you around to hard upping carbs to around 70 makes it more managable...

Interestingly enough, the keto flu is simply not enough sodium in your diet.
If you want I can send you two books, Art & Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance and Art .... Living. You're quite interested to learn I see so I don't mind getting them for you. It explains everything very well

Salt?

Interdasting....

Two interesting studies I found. Basically saying that spreading your protein throughout the day is better than eating it all in one meal. Looks like I was on track with the shakes throughout the day, yet had recently abandoned them. From now on, I'll be eating a small meal and lunch and a large one at dinner.
Maybe even have "day food" and "evening food" and snack throughout the day. The turkey mince will be ideal for this. I don't think I'll notice a difference until I am a bit leaner though- but in the next 2 weeks we shall see the difference!

Reminds me of the old 8 meals a day to speed the metabolism thing, haha

Going by the info above, on my low calorie days I'll want a lower fat cut of meat that I eat throughout the day. I want to keep a constant stream of protein but not a constant stream of fats. I want the fats all in one meal. So high calorie fatty days, I'll have a small meal and a large meal like before.

This should help a lot. Also there will be a contrast between the eating habits of low and high calorie days and this should keep my leptin levels tight. The turkey mince was out of stock, so I am going for drumsticks this time, with a dry rub. As such, here is next weeks diet plan:

Low calorie days = 120g fats (105 + 15g fish oil)
High calorie days = 180g fats (165 + 15g fish oil)
This was calculated with a daily average of 150g of fats. Low calorie days were multiplied by 0.8 and high calorie days 1.2.
Also, my waist circumference is down more! Great news. Still no abzz for summer though but at least it almost looks flat when I relax and turn to the side

MONDAY:
High protein, low fat paleo day. No more than 50g of fats.

Tuesday & Friday:
High calories

Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday:
Low calories

Sunday:
Cheat day

Low calories:
1kg drumsticks (90g fats - 15g remaining for incidental fats)

High calories:
1kg mince (150g fats - 15g remaining for incidental fats)

So I am right in the ideal keto fat burning zone right now. Around 3 on the keto stix
What I am doing right now is ideal it seems. I'll see what the leaner meat does to my keto
Carbing up tomorrow, so I'll take my weight in the morning, night, following morning then at 4pm when I am due to weigh in on the 13th. This will give me some idea on when I need to carb up for my meet and what sort of water and sodium cut I need to do.

For someone your weight and the weight you lift which is good your still very watery man, im same weight and size roughly and the abzzz show alot more and more vascular too, in saying that im nt as strong, maybe u on too much protein? Who knows? Whats your % bf?

I've never heard of protein causing you to hold water. I don't know my body fat percent but I had a lot of visceral fat before. As I diet down, most of the changes have been in my belly circumference. So I am expecting that to go down some more before the abs really start to show through. I'm also eating a lot of sodium right now so I piss out as much water as possible for my meet coming up. That will cause me to hold some water as well I guess. I'm not too worried about water though, as I get leaner that will disappear anyway

Yeah tru that brother, it would be interesting to know your bf, how tall are you?? Im just sayin it seems odd that for your strength and weight ratio, your not more "ripped" per se, if aesthetics was your goal? If not keep doin what your doin i guess

Getting ripped takes a long time brother, it's not some 8 week stereosonic thing. It takes a good 6 months to diet down from where I was to 4 weeks out bb type condition without the aid of drugs. I can do it faster but I'm not cool with losing strength.

Id defonately take being a little fatter, 15% or so percent, then weakening myself amd dropping "quickly" to sub 10. There is no point in ever doing that. I see zero point to "shredding " both fat and muscle just to look fully sick brah. No point dropping something that takes so long to gain.

Tim.

Without the aid if drugs?? Eph's not a drug???

Sent from my iPod touch from Pluto.

Ephedrine has minimal effect on fat loss
Even clenbuterol, studies show a 5% increase in metabolic rate. Find your BMR then increase it by 5%. Unimpressed? Me too. Ephedrine has even less of an effect

It's very good for energy levels however, and it keeps you on the dry side, this is why I take it
