for example I plan to lift 300lbs 3 sets 6 reps in deadlift
so I do 3 warmup sets: 1 set: 50% x 6 reps , 2 set: 70% x 3 reps , 3 set: 90% x 1 and then rest and 3 work sets of 6
is that correct?
and as for bench press 200lbs , two warmup sets:
1 set: 50% x 6 reps , 2 set 80% x 3 reps...
Ok here i go again with another question! :D
I know it's normal to get puffed out and feel stuffed after some sets but how much is to much? I think i go over board at times and really push myself to get that last rep or two out. if i'm going for 10 reps but feel really stuffed at 8 should i...
I'm currently doing some cardio after a weight session, like: burpees, Tabata thrusters, box jumps and barbell complexes.
Except for the Tabata sets, I rest for 60 seconds between sets.
Is this about right or should I adjust it?
Aiming for fitness plus some extra fat burn.
Well i spotted a summer newbie today. he (chubby) wore shorts/singlet/headband and wristband.
Proceeded to do Dumbell bicep curls (why am i not surprised) with 5kgs on each side and started grunting like it he was giving birth.
Did 6 reps dumped the dumbells with a loud bang from shoulder...

Hi All,
I have currently hit a plateau in my training, I used to be able to up the weight with things like a dumbbell shoulder press every few weeks but I am struggling at the moment! I notice other people changing the weight for each set, for example – I am currently doing 3 x 12 - 20kg...

For 3 years I trained light, then heavier, then heaviest.
Eg. Bench 60kg/10 reps, 70kg/8 reps, 80kg/4 reps.
Recently I flipped it: 80kg/6 reps, 70kg/8 reps., 60kg rep till fail.
I find it much better as you are able to lift the heavy weight straight away as your muscles are not...
