Success leaves clues mate, seriouslly how many bodybuilders train heavy as in, do 5 reps to failure then rest 3 minutes then do 5 reps again...... probly 5% out of the 100% bodybuilding population and they are genetic freaks like ronnie coleman which scott explained lol.

Yer ur 100% right, U have to progress, which means more weight, higher reps, less rest between sets. If your getting weaker, chances are your losing muscle, but like i said training with high intensity doesnt mean ur lifting *light* it just means ur training way harder. Like he said train for...

To be on the same page, i am talking about bodybuilding and not powerlifting u know this? High intensity training over str, for muscle gains.

Bazza mate what ur saying is correct.. but i think u misunderstood the whole article - ur not getting weaker ur just training with lighter weights for more reps with way shorter breaks , aka only 1 minute break instead of 3 minute breaks. Isnt the whole point of going to the gym to break down...

High intensity training over str, for muscle gains.

I said i wouldnt argue with people but i think u missed the point, he didnt say get (weaker to get bigger) he meant train harder by using less weight and shorter rests between sets.......... An example of someone training for str would do 1 set of 5 reps, then rest 3 minutes to get 100% str back...

the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

I would have said, Having carbs at night doesnt make you fat.. consuming more calories then ur body burns throughout the whole day makes you fat.... and further adding your body needs carbs throughout the whole day to refuel glycogen stores which are depleted during training.
