Terror in Paris

Its OK Johnnie. Don't get yer panties in a knot. Bazza has some sort of genetic problem that prevents logical thought. Just take a breath and pat him on the head. He's basically a good boy, just not sure how to play with others. And adults.

The NRA line is that everyone should have a gun to protect themselves (and, of course, "their loved ones") against some sort of vague aggressor who may be Russian, Chinese, black or generally "not like them". Shit like the Paris killings tend to make the lesser intelligent go along with that.

What the NRA never advertises is that the consequence of that "right" is the deaths of so may children from accidental shootings (or deliberate in some cases). Yes, the very "loved ones" that guns are supposed to protect.

Further, the NRA knowing that this is an issue (not to mention all the mass shootings of adults) decided to fix that "problem":

So, bottom line is that poor Bazza is just another victim of the NRA propaganda battle. After all, say something long enough and loud enough and eventually everyone will just agree or no longer protest. This is, after all, a good reason why slogans are used to promote radical ideas.

again you seemed to have missed the argument like the other bloke and just stating facts that no one is even disagreeing with.


My point is, is changing US gun laws actually going to make a difference. Now settle, think about it rather than just trying some poor insults towards me before you make a response. If so what do you suggest and why would it make a difference.

There are good arguments both sides, but in hindsight if I was in the lindt shop and had a gun along with everyone else, the scumbag bastard would think twice about what it did.

It's like when you are having a stupid conversation where the bloke makes no sense, you smack him in the face, it might not change the way he thinks, but it will damn sure make him think before he speaks again.

More than the drivel you expel. I've never seen you advance an argument, you just drag a conversation down into hyperboly and circular reasoning. Johnnie's straw man link defines your style perfectly, as demonstrated by calling me an IS sympathiser. Some people simply never develop the ability to critically analyse information or challenge their own assumptions, you're more a product of circumstance than anything else; but when people can't be bothered continuing to debate with you it's because it's completely pointless, not because you're gradually convincing the masses. It's like banging your head against a wall...only not as much fun.

Yep. Maybe levity is preferable at some junctures. A picture can say a thousand words etc etc. At least I can have an intelligent conversation when required.
