Myers, a 28-year-old Tasmanian, has been treated for dehydration after trying to strip weight for the 75kg class. She collapsed in the athlete rest area before the weigh-in and was transported to hospital for further medical attention.
Dr Rob Mitchell, a Sydney surgeon, doubles as the manager of the Australian weightlifting team and went with Myers to seek treatment. She was unable to weigh-in and therefore won't be able to compete in Glasgow, with her health being monitored by Australia's medical director Dr Grace Bryant.
"Jenna is resting comfortably in her room in the Village, is talkative and in good spirits," Dr Bryant said in a statement.
Myers had been spending time in the sauna to help make the required weight.
