Wrestling Shoes

One of my mates wears wrestling shoes (high top flat sole things) they look pretty sweet but would it be worth getting a pair.

I'm guessing it would be similar to training bare foot, which i have heard of people doing.

Does it make that much of a difference?

I wear them for deadlift as the provide the benefits of deadlift slippers with ankle support
and the tighter feel of of a shoe
Not so great for squat and bench, and I also found they are not suited for sumo deadlift as they are pretty narrow.
