You can do both - for both strength and fitness.

Both will build muscle.

Changing it up and adapting your workout, between lower weight at higher reps, and heavier weight for lower reps, is a smart way to train, for size AND strength.

Where did you come to this conclusion?

I chose 10 x 5, because youe would get stronger and you would damn near kill yourself.

But I would do 5 x 10 if it was me, because I find it more effective at targeting individual muscles. and I dont think I need more than 5 sets (most times)

How'd you like them apples.

10 x 5 chins this am.

Wasn't as difficult as I expected but chins have a habit of coming back to meet you as you tire. Next time I will be stricter on form right through.

7x7?

both would be a hard session if the weight was right. personally I would not to either set/rep schemes
