What to Look for when joining a Gym

Wanting to join a gym but not exactly sure what you should be looking for? A lot people become lost when its come to choosing a gym getting value for money can become quite. A lot of things can sway your decision on why should join a gym so this article will take a look at some of those things


Location
As with a lot of things that come across in our lives, location plays a big part how important location is. Try to find a gym close by within about 10minutes travel tine, any further and travel time may put you off from going to gym. 10minutes travel from work or from home which ever suits your training times


Fees
Everything in life costs money and gyms aren't anything different, gym membership costs money, Fees range from gym to gym and whether you are paying monthly/quarterly or yearly.. Before joining gym and signing any contract always make sure to read the fine print and understand all that it says. Don't be conned into any up selling that gym employees might push onto you ,they earn a commission so they will try to sell you the biggest and dearest packages and products.


Equipment
During your tour of the gym, keep an eye on the types of equipment they have to offer. Check for the amount of machines that they have cardio machines variety of weight training machines and free weights, enough to go around etc. Is the gym too cramped? Any added extra's while they aren't a necessity but value for money things to look for such as pools, sauna/steam room and basketball courts.


Hours
What are the gyms opening hours how early and how late is the gym open for? Will the hours fit into your workout schedule what about open weekends and public holidays?.You will need the convenience of a gym that is open when you need it to be.


Staff and the Atmosphere
The atmosphere and environment needs to have a good vibe to it , you'll be able to sense it as you walk in. What is the staffing level like, are the staff helpful,friendly,qualified,experienced ?
Don't be afraid to ask any questions's , remember you are the customer your money walks and talks. What is listed above are just some of the things to consider before joining a gym.
