Which do you consider to be the most important to achieving muscle growth?
weight lifted ?
exercise technique
Nutrition?
Genetics?
Rest and Recovery?

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]As we know if you want to build bigger and stronger muscles, you need to stimulate your muscle fibers . Muscles grow bigger when they are depleted and repaired afterwards by means of proper nutrition high in protein and sufficient amount of rest and recovery.

What is more important

If you don't lift weight your muscles will receive no stimulus to grow no matter how good or bad the other factors are.

Saw a guy on the street the other day with massive hard calves, guessing 24 inches.
Probably the biggest I've ever seen in person.
He looked like a builder/tradesman, the rest of his body suggests he does not lift weights or follow a strict diet.

No amount of rest, nutrition, heavy weights, etc, is going to get 99.9% of the population the calves this guy had.

it kinda depends on your goals really. you can rely on nutrition to lose weight or weights lifted to build muscle or if your lucky genetics then you can do fuck all and still look ace

Most important to achieve muscle growth has to be weight lifted as muscle needs stimulation to grow.

lol just realised i didnt read the question right just skimmed it.

weights lifted > muscle growth

I'm assuming in this context that 'weight lifted' is referring to the amount of weight that's lifted.

It's obviously a fucking given that you have to lift weights in this caper, so it shouldn't be interpreted in such a basic context.

Genetics should be deleted as an option for the poll.

You can control all other (poll options) factors, but you can't control your genetics.
