Spotting: Mind over matter?

Its funniest when watching someone trying to spot their bro at a squat. Saw this today, the bromance was heartwarming, with all that synchronised hugging and thrusting. Almost asked if they needed a room.

the only thing wrong with that is if there was actual contact, as for the synchronization thats about being prepared to catch the bar so they have the right idea,

Not a big fan of spotters only the slightest touch is necessary. I have always been quite particular on that. I have seen Pts advertising on various ads and you can tell straight away they are overspotting and it is all just ego stroking. Since I stick to 5x5 for reps, I would rather go just short of failure and keep progressing gradually, I have always trained alone.

Just remember the magic words when spotting.

"IT'S ALL YOU BRO"

Failure to comply may result in a failed spot attempt. ;)
