Shorty, the newsletter & progress

Shorty actually benched 120kg at BATB3 raw.

I think Ray only uses a shirt from around 6 weeks out from memory.

Make no mistake, Ray is strong with or without his lifting equipment. These are his lifts from BATB3. All lifts raw at 70kg

Squat - 170kg
Bench - 120kg
Powerclean - 80kg
C&PP - 80kg
Deadlift - 212.5kg

Shorty is a lifetime drug free lifter with just over 2 1/2 years lifting. And the f u c k e r smokes lol

Man, not a massive difference between his RAW and Geared lifts! Nice work mate.

How often do you train in your shirt Shorty?

Yeah PTC is correct i usually practice in my shirt/gear around 4-6 weeks out from the comp, prior to that i'm just focusing on increasing raw strength.

Because from what i've seen in the pass, as my raw strength goes up in lifts so does my assisted lifts ;)

I'm sitting around 69.5kg as of this morning. Aiming to get my bodyweight to around 67.0kg before i increase my carb intake to stablise my weight.

Going to try and finish off the year with a bang! and end up in the Top 3 for my weightclass so i need 582.5kg total or more.

Happy with my current Bench and deadlift strength just got to try and maintain it whilst cutting weight and also try and get my squats up.

Getting my straps tightened on my squat suit as they are very very loose now (i can pull them up myself) and will be practicing in it for the next couple of weeks.

Wish me luck!

Good luck Shorty!

What shirt and suit do you use? What sizes? Is your next comp Matti Tikka?

You are looking on point in your journal at Powerlifters, I read that a bit. Some crazily strong dudes over there!

Far out, Theo is a freakishly strong little dude.

I'm using a Titan Fury Bench Shirt Size 40, and Inzer TRX Squat Suit Size 28.

Titan Fury (Flat Benchers), Titan F6 (Arch Bencers)

With equipment, its best to try on gear/sizing of other powerlifters before you take the leap into buying it, as they are very expensive. Also being new to the sport second hand gear is a good option, the powerlifters.com.au website has a for sale section.

Yep the Matti Tikka is the comp i'm aiming to total big at ;)

Theo is a freak! 4x bw deadlift at 60.0kg and he is Lean and Cut as anything!

It sure is going to be interesting to see what goes down at Matti Tikka.

Once again, good luck!

Another question, how long have you been seriously powerlifitng for?
