Another good session tonight.
Our third new member Scott (what a name!) started training today.*
Went through low bar squats, benches and deads. He is 80kg and long, just like me. Seemed to pick things up really quick which is good.
He remembered PTC from the NS days.

Steve and I pulled from a deficit of 60mm, 210 and 195 for 3x5 respectively. Tara pulled 90kg 3x5.

Ricky squatted 255kg for 3 singles and benched 140 6x6.

Alex squatted 200kg 5x3, 170kg 4x4 then some light bench, around 135 for triples.

Sharpy came back after I almost killed him with the prowler on Tuesday..... Literally. Admittedly the circuit is called "kill me now".
He has never touched a barbell in his life, so we are just getting the movements right for the moment. He deadlifted, MP, rows and chins. He is also racing callen to a 2 plate bench. If Sharpy and Drew both beat callen, callen offered me his elikio bar.

We also picked up a new microwave to keep Loz happy :p.

All of our females deadlift....... Every week.

Was just checking. So deadlifting multiple times a week would be stupid right? Especially since heaps of girls are on a calorie deficit, they'd run into recovery issues?

Only one of my female clients are on a calorie deficit..... Id run into recovery issues, so no, there is no need to to pull twice a week, especially since they are squatting twice a week at the moment.

Great crew in this morning.
Marc started training for his up coming strongman comp in Ballina.
Farmers 2 x 15m at 150kg, a total of 30m all up with 190kg duck walk, 5 reps with 151kg stone over a 1.35m yoke.

Marc brought his trainee Jen in. She did some dynamic box squats and then got through our hardest cardio complex, "Death before dishonor". She smashed it in 15min, the fasted time yet. Damo is going to have to pick up his game!

Steve squatted and benched. He loves 10's on his squats, pretty sure it's all he lives for ;).

Loz did some strongman training. Farmers up to 120kg for 15m runs, axle dead 130x1, then did the short and sweet complex, twice.

Ben pulled up to 177.5kg x5 from a 60mm deficit, at 76kg.

Ricky squatted 255kg 5x1, abd benched 150kg 7x5.

I did some light squat work. Having done tendon issues at the moment :(

Karyn started training with us today. We ran through the ropes, made a few adjustments.
She will be training with us as often as she can, and we should see some great improvements on all levels.

Mon drove out from the sticks to come in for a session.
We ran through squats/bench/deadlifts.
Made a few technique changes, and now has the most picture perfect squat, even under a new PB. Hopefully she can remember all the bench cues, we did cover quite a bit ;).
With a few technique changes, mon waked out with 3 new PB's.

Just an update on the equipment we have.....

88 Australian powerlifting records have been set or briken by our members so far. We should have been credited with an extra 4 world records, but we wont go there :/

Is that the rogue yoke? I know they do that one that doubles as squat rack, push/drag, pullup bar etc.

Also the girl watching wasnt giving 100% to her workout :p
