New diet, now long till you notice change?

Hey Guys,

Just thought i put this up for discussion.

When you have changed your diet, either cutting or bulking, how long do you give before you start seeing results OR realise it is not working out exactly like you have planned and make changes?

Personally, I like to stick to something for around 4 weeks before i make changes, although i find this hard to do sometimes as i like seeing instant results but as everyone should realise is consistancy and patience is they key with this.

Sometimes i think it takes some time for the body to adjust to change and i think 4 weeks is a good amount of time for the body to adjust to the changes, much the same as changes made to a workout program, your not going to see instant results.

Thoughts?

2-3 weeks at LEAST....but with both cutting and bulking diets they will have to change every week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks anyway...

It always seems like a lagging effect, 3 weeks or so for me.

I've been on a really slow bulk, weight is going up about 250g per week, never fluctuating more than a few hundred grams per day every morning I weigh myself.
Then the last week, up about 1kg than last night BAM, up 1kg !!
No change in diet at all.
Have changed training though to just 3 days a week, mostly full body and heavy.

Give yourself at least 3 if not 4 weeks on any new dietary plan. The first 2 weeks is the adjustment phase for the body anyway so either way what happens in that time should be taken with a grain of salt.

I'm hesitant to change anything within the first 2 weeks of a new clients plan.
