Wow, what can I say, you guys are awesome.

So in an attempt to pull this thread back on track it seems to be that the mains views are as follows

- go for micro loading, slow and steady progression will add up overtime

- don't bother micro loading, vary rep ranges and sets as the weight goes up to keep progressing

- dumbells are useless for most people and we should stick to heavy compound lifts with barbells

- being a kunce is key to long term lifting success

The reason I asked is that I've been struggling to add weight consistently to the db curls in my program as the weekly jump is too big to sustain for long without getting stagnant.

For dumbbell exercises involving small muscles don't expect weekly progress.
