Lactose free protein/shakes ?

Any recommendations for lactose free protein/shakes ?

Going to try and see how I go with lactase enzyme if I can get some
but in the meanwhile to avoid the nasty reaction , gas , bloating etc (run for the bathroom ) I need lactose free.

I'm getting a sample pack (not free) from 180nutrition.com.au

any others I should try ?

Pure WPI has virtually zero lactose.

That's what I use and I'm lactose intolerant.

Go with that.

yep if you can handle a bit of lactose go wpi,

if you defiantly cannot handle any or a small amount try hydrolised isolate,

otherwise soy/pea

Thanks.

Yeah can tolerate a small amount of lactose but prefer not to risk it.

usually fine with hard cheeses (cows milk) and cultured yoghurts (not the favoured crap).

milk by itself can't tolerate any, in coffee about one a day but only drinking black coffee now (and match ,green, oolong and pureah tea)and its helped me drop 20.6kg since August (another 18kg to go)

Just getting back into the gym and need to improve the nutrition.

There is still enough lactose in WPI and even in Hydrolised (extreme cases) to make you run to the toilet depending on your level of lactose intolerance.

There is a fix and you got it right the first time. No one with even the most severe lactose intolerance has to live with any of it and all it is to fix the problem is to add LACTASE.

LactOse intolerant people are only that way because they don't produce any lactAse in the body anymore. When you put lactAse back in, you are back to normal again. Not even a WPC will hurt you.

BN, I have massive issues with WPC but no issues with WPI. I can even tolerate a little milk in my coffee. A tub or yoghurt is no good or a full pizza with all the cheese.

Maybe I need to get me some Lactase enzymes.

I have no problems with acidopholous yoghurt or pizza of any type.

But a milkshake - count down to destruction/biohazard - almost as bad as that picoprep crap they give you before surgery

GROAR,

lol, this is actually an extremely frustrating topic for me as half the worlds population is lactose intolerant and an extremely large percentage go through their lives staying away from all the foods they love just because it contains lactose!

LactAse capsules, tablets, drops, whatever - is all that is needed for a "cure." It is the one and only reason people are lacotse intolerant and that is because their bodies do not product lactAse anymore. Put this enzyme back in (at the time of consuming lactose foods) and you are back to normal like everyone else!

Whats annoying is no doctor ever suggested taking lactase to me,
even got tested for allergies multiple times.

Even had one specialist say it can't be lactose intolerance as you wouldn't be able to tolerate any milk at all.

Our future care in the hands of that particular doctor may well be in trouble, lex.

There are different levels of lactose intolerance. Some still produce lactAse but only enough to handle the levels of lactOse of perhaps a glass of milk. Then anything after that is lactose overload and additional lactAse supplementation is needed.

It is actually quite a very simple topic yet there is no education on it. Most lactose intolerant people are not even aware of lactose free milk or ice cream!

Thats not one doctor , but a few.

There's plenty of good lactose free stuff and the labelling is getting better.

Though its surprising what foods, sauces etc can contain lactose
especially processed foods , and sauces.
