Introduction

Name: Michael

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Location: Gold Coast

Training experience: I've been going to the gym for about 2 years pretty blindly though.

Height: 172cm (short I know)

Weight: 72kg (ideal weight 82kg)

I lift for rugby mainly and my stats are really weird mainly because I'm not sure I'm deadlifting properly and my training fluctuates due to rugby injuries.

Wanting to tone while putting on weight and strength any ideas??

Squat: 140kg Bench:100kg dead lift: 100kg (4 reps for each lift)

Name Fitnation, Been training since 1987, still going. For a few years I did a lot of cardio and Bodypump, in the last year or more have got right into the free weights, always been a good trainer. Have competed a few times, done lifesaving, been a male revue waiter, done some modelling. Work as a Postman and studying Urban Planning. I enjoy keeping up with present trends in supplements and what is happening in Bodybuilding and the fitness industry.

Re-intro myself

Hello to some from waaay back. I'm shaun and I started on AUSBB in late 07' and had some activity for a while there in a row.

I am back after a fair amount of time, so I thought I'd re-introduce myself and just say:

- Shaun

- Almost 23

- Adelaide (home), working away at Darwin at the moment

- Training experience: Experienced. Lifted when I was 14, and had some really impressive bouts in my younger age, and a good shape during middle uni degree. But now I just wanna get back where I was at, and further! More serious into squats I think this time will be a big player, and just trying to beat PR's.

- Interests: Marine biology (field of study), training principles, nutrition, science behind it all etc. I used to consider myself quite up to date with knowledge of most of that kinda stuff, and may still be able to help others if they want advice (even though yes, I have never really lifted super heavy). But I have trained a lot of people who became some of who they are physically - through training with me. I.e One mate became a personal trainer (Specialising in balance to overcome plateau's, another got really up and into strongman competitions, one went from super ectomorph to gym buff etc.)

I'm friendly and nice, and here to give/take advice and socialise I guess ;)

Hi names Patty, was a fat ass kid growing up until I learned about nutrition and from there I've pretty much eaten all lean protein and lifted occasionally and have leaned out pretty well in my opinion. Now just looking to bulk like a mother haha.

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

My name is Kev and I'm here basically to interact with people with interests similar to my own.
I'm a 29 year-old doctor from Brisbane with a desire to get back into the weights game. I played competitive rugby league as a younger bloke, but have done little in the way of strength training since giving the game away some 7-8 years ago in favour of my studies.
This year I have experimented on-off with programs that favour the core lifts (i.e. squats, deadlifts and presses) and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I hope to turn this enjoyment into greater commitment in 2013 (and indeed the remainder of 2012), and perhaps even try my hand at powerlifting and/or Olympic weightlifting.

I look forward to chatting with you all. Thanks for having me. Cheers.

Hey all, new member here.

Training experience (if you have any that is)

Joined a gym in 2010 when I was noticeably overweight. Shed about 8kg and then started to make some strength/size gains doing my own noob routines. Sadly I didn't know about beginner programs like SS back then.

Couldn't barbell bench press because my shoulder felt weird, so I stuck to incline db press and plateaued for ages. Worked up my squats and deads to about 120kg, then lost motivation and stopped those lifts.

Found it again this year because I was sick of seeing zero progress. Got introduced to 531 and now I'm slowly working the 4 core lifts up. Fixed my BB bench form and seeing good progress there.

I'm a fair bit behind the strength curve based on my height and weight (176cm, 91kg), but I'm starting to catch up now.
Current goal is to reach intermediate strength within the next 12 months.

Hey All,

Another new member to the forums.

Name: Dave

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Location: Brisbane

Training experience: Previous lifted for 1.5 years before I moved to the UK for 2.5 years where travelling and partying took precedence over lifting weights. When I left Brisbane my 1RM's at 85kg were Squat 145, Bench 115 and Deadlift 185. Been back training for about 6 weeks and 1RM's at 73kg are currently Squat 115, Bench 92.5 and Deadlift 155. Aiming to get to my previous PB's at my current weight.

Interests: I'm a Town Planner by trade and my main interests are travelling, snowboarding, rugby league, cricket and of course lifting.

Going to start up a log so you can follow my progress there.

Introduction

Hey guys, thought I'd introduce myself.

- Name: Josh
- Age: 23
- Gender: Male
- Location: Adelaide
- Training experience: I don't have all that much experience, started going to the gym on and off roughly 2 1/2 years ago and lost interest. Then I gained a heap of weight and wasn't totally happy so I joined another gym and got back into cardio and light weights to tone up and get back in shape. I managed to lose the weight I wanted (and some more). I've started getting back into a routine after starting a new job and I'm getting at least 4 weight sessions a week in now.

Looking forward to cutting through the marketing crap and broscience and actually learning a thing or two on here ;)
