Is the concern the deadlifts? At the moment I just use 2 bunnings mats each side. Going to be building a platform soon though. I don't drop my weights but lower them with not much care

Thanks for the quick reply. My real concern was protecting the plates and the cement floor.
 
I am actually deadlifting on them now. Even adding another layer might be more beneficial but I havent had a problem. Bunnings tiles are like 15 bucks. I'd say grab some an give a try. Might end up saving a shit load

The bunnings mats are the same as the Gym Stores mats.
I have both and they work the same.
 
Big Ws are the same as Bunnings. But Bunnings have two types, with and without holes.
 
Thanks, guys. My Bunnings had some rubber flooring, which appeared to be similar to the similar to those at gydirect. I was wondering if there was a substantial difference in quality before I forked out for courier shipping.
