Does body weight affect how much you can squat?

Does it add in anyway?

For example if i lost 50kg suddenly overnight would that mean if i did a squat i could lift more because i dont have that 50kg weighing me down.

If you had 50kg of fat lipo-sucked from you're upper body only, then yes, you should be able to lift 50kg more, as you are just exchanging fat for iron.

But it doesn't work that way.

Just worry about what you can lift today.
As you get stronger and gain more muscle and lose the fat, you wil lift more.
Keep going with the process and in the long term you can be lifting amounts you never thought possible, and you will not be fat when that happens.

If you cut off your arms and just strap the weight to your back, you should be able to lift more.

I'm not very knowledgeable with bodybuilding stuff, but I hope that helps =P
