Decent Strength Gains?

On benchpress and military press what would be considered a decent gain every month? I'm averaging a 5kg to 7.5kg gain on benchpress and about 2.5kg gain on military press. Just want to know if this is decent or not, PS I hope this is the right subforum.

Thanks

LOL, if i was getting those sort of gains if be stoked!

Im guessing your new to training? If so, your going to get gains like this for like 6 months. Gains will become much, much harder to get as time goes on which is why people with little drive either quit or turn to steroids to soon.

To give you an idea. On the weekend I paused 110kg last weekend, in 3 months time im hoping to get around 117.5kg-120kg. Thats going to take some hard tarining for me.

Yeah i'm a pretty new to training, started October last year but took about 1 month off towards the start of the year so i'v trained for about 9ish months in total. But i'm glad to know that so far my gains are good. I understand they'll slow down soon. Best bp was 103kg 1 month ago, haven't tried 1 rep since.

Not sure what you mean by paused?

My bodyweight is around 98kg (about 185cm tall) and my squat/deadlifts aren't great. I haven't done them in over a month due to a injured hamstring, but squats is around 110kg and deadlifts is around 160kg 1rep maxes.

there are no real guidelines. just aim to add weight when you can, that's all you can do. more than likely you will stall and need to try something different. that is weightlifting.

my bench soared to 102kg in 6 months of proper training and then it took 4 months to get to 110kg. i wasn't benching as much in those 4 months. and in the first 6 months i was a bench specialist lol.

Sorry, paused bench, I feel, is a proper (competition) bench press. Lower the bar, pause on chest for a second, the press the bar up.
It stops people hitting their chest has hard as possible to get the "bounce" which CAN help push a little more weight.

long as u dont throw your form out on the way gaining strength .. no use doing 2 inch MP and bench presses just to use heavier weights..
