Aussies doing a magnificent job of engineering another loss here and a 4-0 series defeat.

I can't recall such a bad result overseas, ever. Could be the worst tour the Aussies have ever had.

Need a serious post mortem after this debacle.

Haven't even looked like winning a test or at least being competative during this tour, worst preperation for and Ashes campaign EVER!!!!!!!!

what a sad state of affairs.

No player in the current test averages over 40 other than Warner 41.
Cowan 33.00 after 16 tests. Not good enough. Sack him
Hughes 33.35 after 22 tests. not good enough. Sack him
Watson 36 after 40 tests. Not good enough. Sack him since he won't bowl.
Smith 32 after 6 tests. I'd persist with him until the ashes since he bowls a bit and has shown a bit of form.

considering warners consistency thats very worrying. has anyone else noticed pontings form lately?

I wish Punter would comeback but it wont happen, ruled out any chance of a comeback. For the Ashes they have to get Bailey in and throw an open cheque book at Hussey to make a comeback. We need old heads who can tough it out and give Clarke some support.

India scrap to lead despite Lyon five

Loosened up, aggressive, focused and familiar enough with the conditions, Australia are ready to give India a fright at home. The only trouble for the tourists is that the strongest demonstration of their readiness for the task has arrived with the Test series in its death throes. The captain, Michael Clarke, has already flown home.

Defending a middling 262 on a Delhi pitch that was always less than trustworthy, the stand-in leader Shane Watson marshalled his men handily as India slipped to 266 for 8 by the close. He benefited from a fine display by Nathan Lyon, who spun the ball sharply and landed it with greater consistency than he had managed all series. Peter Siddle, James Pattinson and Mitchell Johnson also contributed useful spells, while in the field the tourists were generally alert and often combative.

Can't believe Lyon got 7!!! Shows how much of a bowlers deck this one is.
But all of them have been, why couldn't we get it to turn and produce wickets in the last 3??!?

When will they learn that opening is a specialist role. Totally baffled by Maxwell opening, still over 2 days to play FFS.
