Sumo is different its hard to get off the floor but im strong in lockouts
so it really helps getting it off the floor so i get about 40kgs out of my suit.

Ok guys thought i would clear some things up, people WERE NOT turned away because we had too many lifters, i would NEVER do that! As people said we need as many people as possible in CAPO. ONE person was turned away because of late registration, i'm not sure how every other state is running it, but i did have a date set for entries to be handed in by. This was done so i could organise everything for the comp, just like the Nationals and every other comp has a cut off date for entries, this is pretty normal.
On another matter, my email is always open, and i will try to reply as soon as i can get to it, so in future if anyone has any questions regarding comps, entry fees, dates or anything else related to powerlifting, i'm more than happy to answer personally.
thanks and good lifting to all those competing on the weekend!

We had alot of lifts well over 1/4 tonne. I'll do a full write up and vids if lamy doesnt beat me to it. I'm driving ATM.

A.C.T Comp had alot of good lifters , plenty of pbs were smashed and a few records in some divisions too i believe , pending on rest of results round the country . Women competitors were strong , a lot of first timers who performed awesome , special mention to Rebecca in u67.5 kg class who pulled a 152.5kg and missed a 155kg won womens on formula (was her first comp) . Lucie Thompson from Rock Solid Fitness pulled a 155kg in the u75s womens.Lucie was 2nd on formula . Both girls broke records in their divisions (depending on rest of results ) will be new records . In the womens equip a women i think her name was sharon had a crack at the all time womens equip record and put up a good fight but unfortunately came up short. In the mens their was plenty of lifters , not too sure on some of the guys names , I know that selasi at 88kg pulled a pb and joined the 300kg club ,massive fight for it and well deserved sal 2 years in the making , tried it at nats and passed out . Big George Mclaren from Rock Solid Fitness in the shw opened with an easy 330kg , then went 355kg (5kg more than derek boyer s raw record of 350kg)and came up trumps , then he attempted 372.5 (370kg is equipped record )which would have been alltime record for capo , the weight flew off the floor ,got to mid thigh ,looked like he had it ,but just couldn get the hips through and lock out . It will go in his next comp . Mens winner went to George with Sal 2nd .The comp was george and lucie first sanctioned comp with plenty more to come . Big props to Billy and the crew from Elite physique for putting a well run comp .
P.S sorry didn get the other guys names as their was some great lifts .

Rock
Peter

Corralie from the goldy pulled 152.5kg or 157.5kg equipt, at like 50kg.
Frank will put up the exact lift/weight, but whatever it was it was a great lift.

A huge thanks to Jeff for holding this awesome event. It was a great sized comp, and a great atmosphere to lift in.
Also a massive thanks to the 3 judges, Frank, Threase (sp?) and Mason. You guys always show up for the judging and do a great job. Not only that, you 3 help out the lifters before and after the comp with advice and CC. Its much appreciated.

The winners of the 4 devisions got some prizes and trophies. They also got a MASSIVE gift voucher (deal or no deal spec :D) of $100 to spend. Not sure where it was for though.

Thanks again, it was a great day.
Vids of me and mikey to come in the next hour :).
